MEDALS, PLAQUES, PRIZES, EDUCATION, CAMARADERIE Active duty and reserves military are invited to compete in the MHA MILITARY COOKING COMPETITION & BATTLE in 2003! It's sure to be an amazing event and filled with exciting, stocked prizes for the champion branch of service. The HOT FOOD MYSTERY BASKET style competition puts all of the services on a even playing field. Teams show up and cook a hot meal/menu of their own design. NO ONE knows what will be in the mystery basket so there is no practicing beforehand for months or years. There is also no designing of huge show pieces for months before hand, either. It truly is a full blown battle to see who can really cook the best. Our Mission -To advance
the profession of cooking within the military by providing a venue to
demonstrate your knowledge and talents against people with a similar
background. The Cost Competition
Fee – FREE thanks to the generosity of the MHA. Teams Explained Enter

The MHA is a child corporation of the oldest food association in the history of the United States of America - the International Food Service Executives Association (IFSEA). First formed in 1901, IFSEA has thousands of members all over the world in branches from Taiwan to Japan to the European Union and all over America. Their focus is on networking and charitable acts. For the past, almost 50 years, IFSEA has held contracts with the six American branches of the Armed Forces and annually has expended close to $50,000.00 USD on trophies, plaques, awards, educational seminars, free conference fees, meals and room and board in support of the US Military Food Service Award Programs. IFSEA also fields global travelers to ships at sea, submarines under the ocean, to forts, camps and bases and flying onto aircraft carriers to conduct inspections in determining who the annual winners will be. A variety of top level, Certified Food Executives (CFE) take vacation from their jobs for weeks to support America's military. Contact Information
